Overcoming pandemic fatigue

Despite positive news arising of highly effective vaccines, people continue to struggle during this pandemic. Figures have shown that mental health issues have tripled over the last few months and will carry on increasing. In fact, in the U.S. 75% of employees and roughly 1/3 in the Asia-Pacific region reported symptoms of burnout. Also Europe seems to experience a growth in pandemic fatigue. According to McKinsey (2020), in order to try and overcome the situation, “leaders must actively manage the energy of their workforces, cultivate the quality of employee relationships, and demonstrate a capacity for resilience to recharge their organisations during crises”. - Peter M. & Lena B.
