According to an article published by McKinney, after a recession, business travel is more volatile and slower to recover than leisure travel is. Returns from the business travel will take a long time to return to previous levels after the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors also indicated that the return form business travel in the Americas and Europe may be slower to return than in other areas because of economic composition.
